Sketch and Style: A Guided Fashion Illustration Evening with Connie Lim - Tunbridge Wells
Fancy an evening where you get to sketch beautiful clothes, be inspired by everyone in the room, support each other, and just switch off and have fun? Me too!
So, on 22nd October at the Royal Wells Hotel, we're partnering with the best of the best, fashion illustrator Connie Lim, and pre-loved retailer, Through Your Wardrobe, to bring you a one of a kind guided fashion illustration experience! ✏️💃
Doors open at 5:30pm for arrival drinks and canapés, with the evening starting at 6:00pm.
This time, we're diving into proportion, so expect even more tips and tricks as you sketch, plus a live Q&A with Connie and the Through Your Wardrobe team. Ask them anything, stories from the runway, the secret to drawing hands (this is my question!), how to style pre-loved pieces, whatever you want to know. Send me your questions ahead of time or fire away on the night.
Our live model, Federica Magistrali, will then step out in a series of stunning outfits while we pick up a pencil and sketch each pose, guided by Connie 🙌
Trained at Central Saint Martins and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Connie has worked for Chanel, Dior, Miu Miu and Alexander McQueen, features in Taschen's The Illustrator: 100 Best from Around the World, and has shown her work in galleries internationally. ✨
Connie will meet us where we are and guide us through at our own pace, whether you're unsure of how to hold a pencil (like me!!) or are a life drawing regular. Everyone leaves with a sketchpad of their own, new connections, and a cute cupcake!

Tickets are £50 and include everything: an arrival drink, canapés, herbal teas, coffees, all materials and your very own sketchpad to take home ✏️

Getting there: There's limited on site parking at the front of the hotel. There are several municipal car parks including Crescent Road, Monson Road, Church Road and Mount Ephraim Road within walking distance. It's also an 11 minute walk from Tunbridge Wells Train Station.
